Detoxification, or detox as the method is usually called, is a method by which the body eliminates toxins and poisons that have accumulated over the years. Every time we consume something we have to keep in mind that it is composed up of a very large number of chemical components or ingredients. The great majority of these components are good for our health but there will always be some number of them that in large enough amounts can be harmful.

The body, unfortunately, is not always empowered to cleanse itself of these undesirable ingredients. They pile up within the system until such time when their level reaches poisonous levels.

Detox looks to cure such a scenario by specifically concentrating on these poisons and extinguishing them so that the body can enjoy better health.

Detox Procedures Groupings

1. Oral Detoxification. Using medicines which have detoxifying properties that will work as needed throughout the body.

2. Dietary Detoxification. Creating and implementing a diet that minimizes the introduction of new toxins and poisons to the system. And in fact has substances that counteract the harmful ones.

3. External Detoxification. This involves using substances on the exterior of the body in order to bring about the wanted effect of cleansing the body of toxins.

There are a number of different types of external detoxification. Detox foot baths use water that has been ionized as an example. Custom created cushions for shoes are used for detox foot pads. Uniquely made shoe cushions are used as detox foot pads. Laser acupnucture involves the use of a number of different frequencies. Scents that are relaxing are used in a special aromatherapy used for cleansing.

You can think of your body as a vehicle. Following this thinking then, after a few years the car will need an explicit tune up. This is because in the meantime a lot of negative things could have happened that hamper peak performance. Who knows your VEHICLE could be suffering from rust, inactivity or just plain negligence. The truth is that your body needs better more consistent maintenance then a car. After all, you use your car for a few hours per day only. But you use your body round the clock.
